Okay, in honour of Monday night Rant Night, I'm going to share a rant that has been annoying me all weekend! (like, it's annoyed me so much there will even be pictures!)
So . . . let's talk about parking lots. I mean, hey, we've all been there, trying to squeeze into the tiny little spot that is as close to the store as possible. But have you been to a parking lot in the evening 20 minutes before the store closes and no one is there??? It's glorious! Literally the dream!
There I was, stopping at the store 20 minutes before close, with a parking lot all to myself. And like, literally, all to myself (see inserted drawing). As you can see, I wasn't greedy and didn't park in the first spot, but I didn't park at the back. But I mean, I parked wherever with plenty of space on all sides.
Anyways, life is great. I go in, I get my stuff, I leave. As I am leaving and walking to my car, another vehicle pulls into the parking lot. Before you get too excited, this is not a kidnapping or serial killer story. I get into my car, and the other vehicle looks like they are going to pull in beside me, but they stop. They then back out a bit and drive around. Okay, fine, the parking lot is a vast sea of empty spots. I continue to settle in, turn on my car, then my headlights as I get ready to pull through the beautiful open spot right in front as I drive off into the night.
Guess where the idiot parked??????????
The driver pulls into the spot right in front of me!! They not only saw me get into my car, knowing that I was going to leave, but my headlights were blinding them through their windshield. The audacity!! I can't even handle it. WHO DOES THAT?!?!?!? It almost made me quit driving for like, forever.
Whatever. End of mini rant. I'm over it, clearly.
